A technical bitcoin developer conference series run by Base58's Lisa Neigut, with several themed editions per year across cities like Nairobi, Toronto, Berlin, and Seoul. Each edition is small and deliberately focused, built around workshops and deep dives on one topic such as payments, privacy, or consensus. Not beginner territory.

PorcFest (Porcupine Freedom Festival)

Jun 21 · New Hampshire (statewide)

The Free State Project's week-long Porcupine Freedom Festival, running in New Hampshire each June since 2004. Part camping festival, part libertarian unconference, with heavy bitcoin, homesteading, and agorism programming and a few thousand attendees. TABConf

Oct 12 · Atlanta

The Atlanta Bitcoin Conference, an annual technical event focused on building, with a village format where attendees hack on projects alongside core contributors. Around a thousand developers and tinkerers attend, and the hands-on, socratic style differs sharply from expo-floor conferences. One of the best events for people who actually ship code.

The Bitcoin Conference

Apr 27 · Las Vegas / Jul 15 · Nashville

The world's largest bitcoin conference, run by BTC Inc, drawing over 30,000 attendees with a massive expo floor and headline politicians, executives, and celebrities. Useful for reading industry and policy currents, less so for technical depth. Tickets are expensive, and the vibe is trade show rather than grassroots gathering.
